The Australian Pops Orchestra gave its ‘Absolutely British’ concert at the Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday September 20th at 2pm to an enthusiastic audience. Music of William Walton, Edward Elgar, George Frideric Handel and Purcell dominated the program and stirred the hearts of those present with vibrant and exciting interpretations under the splendid control and leadership of conductor Benjamin Northey.

On Friday 11th July members of the APO with guest artists gave an entertaining concert at the BMW Edge, Federation Square which highlighted hits and songs of the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. ‘As Time Goes By” took an appreciative and enthusiastic audience back in time through a memorable sentimental journey which had them literally tapping their feet and for the most time, with big smiling faces.
